Meet your counsellor
Christina Chu, RCC
Hello! My name is Christina. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works with adults, couples, and Mandarin-speaking clients navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity questions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. I was born in China and immigrated to Canada with my parents as a child. Since then, I've lived all over Canada in both small Northern communities and large cities, finally settling in Metro Vancouver. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Applied Science from UBC, and spent time working in Canada, U.S., Japan and China. I then pursued my true calling as a counsellor and now hold a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle.
I believe that seeking support is a courageous step, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I bring curiosity into our work together and take a non-pathologizing stance — I don’t see you as a problem to be fixed, but as a whole person responding to life experiences in ways that make sense. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives, strengthen self-understanding, and build skills that support meaningful change.
I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and draw from a person-centered framework. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs — whether that means developing practical tools, deepening emotional awareness, or strengthening communication and connection in your relationship.
I believe meaningful change happens when you feel truly heard and supported. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Jack Zhu, RCC
Hi, my name is Jack. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works with English and Mandarin-speaking adults navigating challenges such as life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, and stress.
I was born in China and came to Canada on my own as an international student at the age of 16. Driven by my interest in psychology, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. However, like many people entering a new stage of life, I found myself feeling uncertain and lost about what came next. Looking back, I realized that I had been carrying many thoughts and emotions on my own since moving to Canada, even with loving and supportive family and friends around me. Some of these struggles took years to better understand and work through, and eventually led me to experience counselling for myself.
That experience, along with my own journey of growth, helped me appreciate that everyone carries their own unique challenges, some of which can be difficult to face alone. It also inspired me to pursue my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and become a counsellor myself. Today, I hope to walk alongside people who are seeking to better understand themselves, make peace with parts of their experiences, and build a life they can fully enjoy and embrace.
I believe that everyone has the potential to make peace with themselves and grow toward the person they want to be when given a safe environment to reflect, explore, and practice. I strive to build relationships with my clients where they feel safe sharing thoughts and experiences that they may not feel comfortable sharing with family or friends outside the counselling room. Through self-understanding, collaborative goal-setting, and skill-building, I believe we can work together to help you move closer to the life you want and the person you aspire to be.
In my free time, I’m an enthusiastic gamer and enjoy playing games across a wide range of genres. I also love using examples and analogies from video games in counseling, and I’ve found that many clients find them surprisingly intuitive and fitting for what they’re experiencing. So, if you’re a gamer too, feel free to let me know! :)
