The name of Half Moon Therapy was inspired by the ever-changing moon — a reminder that we are always in a process of becoming. A half moon sits at the edge of change. It is not full, not new, and not fixed. We don’t yet know which direction it’s moving — and that uncertainty is okay.
At Half Moon Therapy, we honour the imperfect, in-between seasons of life. We believe growth doesn’t require having everything figured out. It begins with being heard, accepted, and gently supported. Our practice offers a warm, non-judgmental space for adults and couples to explore life’s challenges with curiosity and compassion.
Here, you are not a problem to be solved. You are a whole person navigating change. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply at a crossroads, we walk alongside you — holding space for reflection, new perspectives, and meaningful movement forward.
Half Moon Therapy is a new and growing mental health counselling private practice located in the heart of Richmond, BC.
Welcome! We are so glad you’re here.
Meet your counsellor
Hello! My name is Christina. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works with adults, couples, and Mandarin-speaking clients navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity questions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. I was born in China and immigrated to Canada with my parents as a child. Since then, I've lived all over Canada in both small Northern communities and large cities, finally settling in Metro Vancouver. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Applied Science from UBC, and spent time working in Canada, U.S., Japan and China. I then pursued my true calling as a counsellor and now hold a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle.
I believe that seeking support is a courageous step, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I bring curiosity into our work together and take a non-pathologizing stance — I don’t see you as a problem to be fixed, but as a whole person responding to life experiences in ways that make sense. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives, strengthen self-understanding, and build skills that support meaningful change.
I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and draw from a person-centered framework. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs — whether that means developing practical tools, deepening emotional awareness, or strengthening communication and connection in your relationship.
I believe meaningful change happens when you feel truly heard and supported. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
